The Final Countdown: One Month

11:30 AM

I honestly can't believe the time has come for this post. We've been engaged for forever. Well, 565 days certainly feels like forever. This has definitely been a fun journey so far, but I'm definitely ready for our next chapter. I would be lying if I said this planning process had been easy breezy, but I do know that every little snag and ounce of drama that happened (and will happen) will all be worth it come June 30th.

May has been an extremely successful month for us and I'm very happy about all we've been able to get done!

Since my last update, we've:
-Had our last shower in Brandon's hometown where we got lots of wonderful gifts
-Mailed out invitations! We're getting so close to getting all our RSVPs back too (especially after I went ahead and the marked people I know for sure are and aren't coming - we'll still probably call just to double check).
-All groomsmen have been fitted for their tuxes
-Had lots of meetings with our amazing wedding people
-I had my bridal portraits taken!
-Sent the band our play and do not play list (sorry Aunt Marcia, the Electric Slide is still a DNP).
-Designed our ceremony programs
-Had the bourbon barrels for the bourbon bar delivered!
-Table numbers from Rifle Paper Co. have been shipped
-Finalized our floral arrangements
-Ordered our bridal party gifts
-Made ALL the strawberry jam for our favors
-Got our marriage license (this morning!)

That is a lot of yummy jam! Definitely a labor of love.

They even smell like bourbon!

With our marriage license at the Register of Deeds!

Brandon also went on his bachelor party and lived to tell the tale. They all came back in one piece and the only thing missing was half the hair on both Brandon's legs. I'm just happy they followed my guidelines of no: getting arrested, getting in a fight, tattoos, or piercings.

I think these are the only appropriate pictures from that entire weekend.

-Order ceremony program paper
and get them printed
On our final month's to do list, we have:
-Brandon has to get his tux altered and get all his accessories
-My final dress fitting
-Find a topper for the bourbon bar
-Get our guestbook framed (I can't wait to reveal this!)
-Finish making getting ready playlist
-Buy the baby cokes for cocktail hour
-Address and mail RD invites (hoping to get this done this week)
-Put together family photos for display
-Put together welcome baskets
-Make burlap bunting
-Order cotton bolls for escort cards
-Seating chart for RD and make place cards
-Seating chart for reception
-Make escort cards
-Find stands for table numbers
-Find backup cardbox
-Put together day-of emergency kit
-Find 16" cake stand
-Finalize day-of schedule
-Write dinner menu on mirror
-Submit wedding announcement
-Take everything to Tre Bella and The State Club
-Final vendor payments

My goal is to have all of this done by the Saturday before the wedding. I really want to have the week before the wedding to just relax, especially considering the Sunday before is Brandon's birthday and that Monday is mine!
