Charlie at 4 Months10:49 AM
Charlie is... 24 3/4" long and weighs 14 lbs. 1 ounce. His hair is also getting so much blonder and he has the prettiest blue eyes. We had a great check up yesterday. Charlie is perfectly healthy, developing great, and was a champ with his shots. They gave him one oral and three in his legs. He cried when they gave them to him and stopped as soon as I picked him up. He was great all night too. Just a little more tired than usual, but not fussy.
Charlie loves...being held or worn (we're staying pretty consistent here), nursing, playing with his new toys, when we make silly faces made at him, his merlin sleep suit, and his paci (yay!)
Charlie does not love... napping. It's still a struggle, even for his teachers. He's just not a great napper, but we're not giving up on that quite yet. Other than that, he's become a very happy and content baby.
Charlie wears...3-6 month clothes and size 6 bubbles (except for a few brands that run large and he's still in a 3 month bubble). Some of the 3-6 outfits are a little long in the arms still. Charlie is also in size 1 shoes.
Charlie eats... every 3 hours at school and every 2-3 hours at home. He's eating three 3.5 ounce bottles at school (9:30, 12:30, 3:30).
Charlie sleeps...pretty great at night! He has a cold right now so he's been waking up once or twice a night because of that. He normally goes right back to sleep though. We aim to put him down between 8 and 8:30 and "normally" he'll sleep until 7.
Charlie is such a smart baby! He loves to grab at things and hold on. He has quite the grib! He is also paying attention more when people leave where he can see them and will follow them. He's putting everything in his mouth. He'll now play with his toy turtle in the car. He also loves to grab onto my nose and face while I'm nursing him. He's also very strong and likes to practice standing and sitting. That head control is getting better by the day!
This month we got into a routine with daycare, attending Meredith and Kevin's gender reveal party, attended my 10-year high school reunion, had school Christmas pictures taken, went on a hike at Umstead (Finley came too!), attended Haye's baptism, had our first cold, and went to the pumpkin patch/apple orchard. We also went and surprised Mama one Friday afternoon and had lots of fun lunches with family.
