Charlie at 5 Months

3:46 PM

Charlie is... getting so big! He only has well check ups every 2 months now, so we won't know his official stats until his 6 month appointment.

Charlie loves...playing on his activity mat, watching Finley, putting everything in his mouth, playing super baby (airplane), practicing standing and sitting up, and giving slobbery kisses

Charlie does not love... napping (unless someone is holding him) and that we won't let him eat what we're eating.

Charlie wears...3-6 month clothes and size 6 bubbles (except for a few brands that run large and he's still in a 3 month bubble). Charlie is still in size 1 shoes.

Charlie eats... every 3 hours at school and every 2-3 hours at home. He's eating three 3.75 ounce bottles at school (9:30, 12:30, 3:30).
Charlie sleeps...pretty good. I don't know whether it's the 4 month sleep regression, daylight savings time change or a combination, but Charlie is now waking up at least once in the middle of the night to nurse. We've also had a few rougher than usual nights. We think a tooth or two is about to break through. This is making him very fussy and clingy in the middle of the night and wanting to nurse for comfort.

Charlie's developments...
I'm a little late writing this post, but Charlie is now consistently rolling over from his stomach to his back. We're still working on from his back to his stomach. He'll roll onto his side, but doesn't quite get all the way over. He's also practicing sitting up. He can do it lightly assisted, but still falls forward on his own.

We're going to start solids when he turns 6 months - on Christmas day!

Charlie's adventures...
This month we cheered daddy on his a Wilson County Schools 5K, had a family fun day in Hillsborough, NC, attended Rich and Jenny's famous pumpkin carving party, celebrated Halloween with a parade and party at school followed by a baby's only party at the Asburns. We also traveled most of November with trips to Jamestown for Gibby's birthday and a day with Gibby while mom and dad went to a wedding in Hendersonville (we made a round-trip drive), VOTED, headed to Morehead City for cousin Adam and Sarah's engagement party, got our first haircut, were BAPTIZED, and celebrated Thanksgiving and participated in your first road race - the 8K Ridgewood Turkey Trot. Month 5 sure was busy, but so much fun!
